Masterbatches
Masterbatches consist of plastic granulate with concentrated colour pigmentation which is added to the raw material to achieve a particular colour in the final product.
 
Primo produces masterbatches for the entire plastic pyramid – from polyolefins to technical thermoplastics, to thermoplastic elastomers and special plastics. They're manufactured from optimum dispersible colour pigments, which ensure uniformity.
 
Primo's extensive masterbatch colour programme is marketed under the name, Coloron-M. We can pigment a wide range of plastic raw materials: ABS, SAN, ASA, PA, PC, PC/ABS, PA/ABS, PMMA, LCP, TPE, PEBA, LD, HD, PP and PS.
 
Compounds
All masterbatches can be supplied with additional components such as glass, minerals, talc or calcium carbonates, to give the raw material special properties. These compounds yield added advantages such as UV stabilisation, or antistatic or antiblock characteristics.
 
The raw material and any additives are selected carefully to meet the requirements of the final product. These properties may be

• Resistance to chemical attack
• Resistance to impact
• Flexibility
