Easy assembly
Vehicle production time must be constantly reduced. Certain plastic products provide a "click-fit" solution. During assembly, parts of the plastic components can snap together the instant the product is pressed against another assembly item. This saves both time and money.
Many thermoplastic materials can be joined with ultrasound or heat. Seals, for example, can be delivered as welded frames in ready-to-fit dimensions.
A soft and flexible gasket can be used together with a hard assembly component when both tightness and rapid assembly are required. Primo has extensive experience in PP + TPE, ASA + ACL, Hard PVC and Soft PVC.
Environmental demands
Ever-stricter environmental requirements are being imposed on vehicles and their components. Primo can advise manufacturers on recyclable materials for both single-component and multi-component solutions.
The lower the density of plastic, the greater the loading capacity. Primo is introducing new plastic grades that reduce weight and maintain, or even improve, strength. Lower weight leads to lower fuel consumption.
