Polymer advantages

Wind turbine profiles are typically made from robust thermoplastics like polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), and polyvinyl chloride (PVC), as well as engineered elastomers (e.g. EPDM or TPE). These materials combine high strength with low weight, allowing components to be strong yet lightweight.

They are weatherproof, resistant to corrosion and require virtually no maintenance even in harsh outdoor conditions, delivering outstanding durability over decades of service. 
Polymers also offer high design freedom – extruded profiles can be tailored into complex shapes or co-extruded blends that would be impractical in metal.
