Pliers and rollers for gaskets

Siegenia is a more than a 100-year old worldwide producer of hardware systems for windows, doors, and related digital home comfort systems such as ventilation and entrance control. The company thrives through a high level of quality control and digitalisation of the production. This thoroughness is also applied when dealing with stakeholders such as suppliers like Primo.

Every month, a quality report on how Primo delivers on a range of parameters is delivered to Primo’s Key Account Manager Jörg Neis. A more comprehensive quarterly report supplements the monthly report.

“It goes into details about indicators such as complaint rate, complaint completion on schedule, error quantity rate, delivery reliability, and various other performance indicators. Besides, soft facts also play a role: what is the behaviour of the contact person at the supplier towards the contact person at Siegenia? How openly are topics dealt with? What are the reaction times? So, both personal and measurable points lead to an overall result. We have invested a lot of work here in the past, which will now have a step-by-step impact on the quality and service customers get,” Jörg Neis says.

The high level of reporting is unique among Primo’s customers, but the practice is steadily growing. Therefore, the licensing of Primo as a supplier of the year is highly appreciated since it indicates that Primo is not only in the top when it comes to manufacturing polymer profiles, but also masters to adapt to customer’s other needs.
