MBBR systems introduce large volumes of biomedia into water tanks, where small polyethylene or polypropylene carriers promote bacterial growth that biodegrades waste, producing clean effluent.

Modern production

The biomedia are produced using Primo's state-of-the-art extrusion technology. This not only offers an exclusive design for our partners, but also increases the value of the customer project, as we can influence the design at an early stage.

More flexibility

Due to our advanced knowledge in plastics and biomedia design, we can influence factors such as density and remain high tolerances on shape and length of our profiles. Such factors differ per application and are an essential part of the performance of the profile.

Varietey of materials

We work with various materials for MBBR profiles. HDPE and PP are very commonly used materials in these markets. We offer virgin materials and high-performance mixtures, Today, Primo can provide ISO 14025 certified recycled post-consumer regrind profiles, positively impacting CO2 emissions.

Long lasting solutions

In normal circumstances, our MBBR biofilm remains its service life for over 20 years.
