System 4000 – a new approach to window production

Specifically aimed at Scandinavian, North- and Eastern European producers of windows and doors who are looking for new production methods.

Plastic components for windows and doors

The Primo Group in Denmark introduces its new concept for window and door construction – System 4000. Specifically aimed at Scandinavian, North- and Eastern European producers of windows and doors who are looking for new production methods, System 4000 combines high quality, flexibility in production and with full in- and outgoing design freedom.

System 4000 is a PVC window profile system combining all the benefits of plastic and composite windows. Producers of windows and doors can choose from a wide range of sashes and profiles in lengths up to 6 meters, making it possible to design a window with high insulation value, full design freedom and zero maintenance for the end customers. The many benefits of the system mean that producers can develop great-looking, durable window systems at competitive prices for their customers.

Durability, sustainability and good looks

Søren M. Nielsen, business area manager for Primo Windows & Doors, explains: “System 4000 is how we think windows and doors. It shows how extruded plastic profiles can be used as the basis of very complex and durable products such as windows and doors, which need to live up to very high standards of appearance and durability. With System 4000, we offer a window system which can be quickly adapted to each window producers’ specifications and which makes production fast and straightforward.”

Especially in the Scandinavian and British markets, flexible window systems like System 4000 are in high demand. “It’s a question of architectural traditions and taste,” Søren Nielsen says, “plus the fact that in Northern Europe, insulation value is extremely important. System 4000 makes it possible to produce windows which suit the taste and tradition while keeping the heating bill down.”

Primo has a long history of producing profiles for window and door construction, and System 4000 combines all the experience and specialized knowledge that Primo has gained over the decades with all the latest in materials and extrusion technology.

Design freedom for window producers

System 4000 allows window producers to combine several types of profiles in one system with full design freedom. Primo profiles for windows and doors are typically sleek and elegant in appearance, and combined with exterior aluminium covers, customers can choose from a wide range of colours and surface textures to make the windows fit any modern house or building.

When installing windows and doors, it is also advantageous to use the large number of accessory profiles constantly being developed by PRIMO.

PRIMO profiles are stabilised with a light alloy metal combination and can be fitted with an outer aluminium skin which makes it possible to design windows of any colour.

The profiles are made with internal chambers which give extreme strength along with optimal heating and sound insulation effects.

Sleekest sash and frame profiles in the market

“In modern window production, many things have to be taken into consideration,” Søren Nielsen explains. “Design freedom is one. Easy, cost-effective production is another. But energy efficiency is really crucial, both for the producer and for the end user. System 4000 has the sleekest and most elegant sash and frame profiles in the market, and that gives us two things at the same time: Better insulation value and a great-looking design.”
